KIRKCALDY CIVIC SOCIETY
A deputation from the committee of KCS arrived at the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 21st February 2007 to lodge a petition of nearly 3,500 names in an attempt to prevent the sale of a section of Ravenscraig Park by Fife Council. The park was gifted to the people of Kirkcaldy by Sir Michael Nairn in 1929.

The petition was discussed at the Scottish Parliament later in the year, on Tuesday 23rd October 2007, during the afternoon session.
