KIRKCALDY CIVIC SOCIETY
We try to arrange a wide variety of events so there is something for everyone.
The new programme is published in October and is updated throughout the year. We also advertise our events in the local papers.
Walkabouts are usually held in the Summer and in the cold Winter evenings we enjoy talks on a variety of topics.
An annual event when KCS displays material from the archives and asks that people bring along their old photos, postcards, documents etc. of the town to share with us.
We visit a venue in town or within Fife for our annual Evening Outing.
The 2015 event was a trip to Glassmount House to see the garden and beautiful Mackenzie & Moncur greenhouse.The house is featured on the www.scotlandsgardens.org web site.
The annual car treasure hunt takes cars to places in and around Kirkcaldy, nearby towns and the Fife countryside.
The annual Ghost Walk takes place on Hallowe'en Night.
We are currently planning the 2017 conference.
KCS take an active part in this national event.
An opportunity to travel back in time to the 18th Century and meet Adam Smith with his family, friends and contemporaries.
